Sneezing that will not settle. Skin flare-ups that seem to appear from nowhere. Digestive discomfort after eating. A child who keeps reacting, but you are not quite sure what to.
Allergy symptoms can be frustrating because they are not always easy to pin down. They can come and go, change with the seasons, appear after meals, or seem worse around pets, dust, pollen, moulds, or certain environments.
At Dears Pharmacy, we offer a practical range of allergy testing services to help you understand what may be affecting you or your child — with support from your local pharmacy team.
Why allergy testing can help
When symptoms are vague or recurring, it can be tempting to keep guessing. You might cut out foods, avoid certain places, change products, or rely on antihistamines without ever feeling completely sure what the trigger is.
Allergy testing can help bring more clarity.
It gives you a more informed starting point, so you can make sensible decisions about avoidance, treatment, or whether further support is needed. For many people, simply having clearer information brings real peace of mind.
Choosing the right test
Not everyone needs the same level of testing. That is why our Allergy Testing Services bring together a number of different options.
If you are experiencing general allergy symptoms and do not know where to start, our First-Line Allergy Panel can be a sensible first step. It looks at many common triggers and can help begin the process of understanding what may be causing your symptoms.
If symptoms are ongoing, more complex, or have continued despite previous testing, our Enhanced Allergy Panel or Complete Allergy Panel may be more appropriate. These offer a broader look across food and environmental allergens, giving a more detailed picture when the cause is harder to identify.
We also offer more specific testing options, including adult and junior food allergy blood tests, as well as a combined Food & Environmental Allergy Test for people whose symptoms may have more than one possible cause.
Support for adults and children
Allergies can affect everyday life at any age. For adults, they may show up as digestive symptoms, skin reactions, breathing symptoms, or recurring discomfort that is difficult to explain.
For children, symptoms can affect home life, school, eating habits, sleep, and general wellbeing. Our junior food allergy blood test is designed for children aged 2 to 17, helping families take a clearer next step when food reactions are suspected.
What happens next?
You can book your allergy testing appointment online at a Dears Pharmacy location that suits you.
At your appointment, our pharmacy team will explain the process, carry out the test, and guide you on what happens next. Once your results are available, you will have a clearer picture of possible triggers and can decide on the next step with better information.
That might mean making practical changes, speaking to the appropriate healthcare professional, reviewing treatment options, or simply feeling more confident about what is — and is not — likely to be causing your symptoms.
