Winter can be wonderful — and also tough on the body. With shorter days, less movement, heavier food and disrupted routines, it’s common at any point through January, February and March to want to feel a bit more like yourself again. That might mean managing weight, boosting energy, quitting smoking, or simply getting a clearer picture of what’s going on internally.
Winter Health Services
That’s where Winter Health Services at Dears Pharmacy can help. We’ve brought together four services that make particular sense in winter, offering practical support locally from our pharmacy team. A reset doesn’t need to be dramatic — it just needs to be realistic, guided, and something you can sustain.
Weight Management Services
Weight management is a common winter focus, and it’s about more than the number on a scale. If winter has nudged things in the wrong direction — or you’re looking for proper structure rather than repeating the same stop-start cycle — our Weight Management service offers supportive, achievable steps that fit real life.
Healthy heart check and Blood tests
We also provide checks that help you move from guesswork to clarity. A Healthy Heart Check is a straightforward way to understand your heart health and spot potential risks early — particularly if you’re over 40, have risk factors, or want reassurance. And if you’ve been feeling tired, flat, run down or “not quite right”, our blood tests can help identify possible underlying factors that may be contributing, which can be especially useful in winter.
Stop smoking
Winter is also a time when many people think seriously about quitting smoking. With the right support, it’s a change that can make a meaningful difference. We offer Stop Smoking support, including NHS support (free to eligible patients) as well as private options, depending on what suits you best and what’s available locally.
We know everyone’s circumstances are different, so the emphasis is on choice. You can start with one service or combine two for a stronger reset. We’ll guide you through the appointment, explain results where relevant, and help you leave with a clear next step.
