Dears Pharmacy have partnered with London Medical Laboratory to bring together a range of diagnostic tests to support looking after your health and well-being.
London Medical Laboratory is an independent clinical testing specialist and provider of pathology diagnostics services to clients across the healthcare sector.
From their state-of-the-art laboratory near Battersea Park they offer clinical pathology diagnostic services to Dears Pharmacy.
If you are interested in any of the tests below please call in to your local Dears Pharmacy and our team will be able to assist you with performing the test sample and form to send away to London Medical Laboratory.
Results are available after a few days and our teams are on hand to support and answer any questions you may have.
These tests require a blood sample to be taken. There is a £30 fee for this procedure in addition to the cost of the test.
MHP Male Hormone Profile (including Fertility & Sports Basic)
This profile checks for the full range of male hormones and is very useful for giving information about fertility. It is also covers a full range of hormones relevant to sports and testosterone supplementation.
ML7P Well Man Premier Plus Profile
This profile is our most comprehensive general wellness profile for men. It checks your liver & kidney function, your bone health, Iron levels (including Ferritin) and your full cholesterol profile. It also checks your HbA1C level which is diagnostic of diabetes, and your Thyroid Function. Added to all this it does a full blood count which checks the health and number of your red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets, and also a test for inflammation.
PR2 Prostate Profile
This profile is to check the levels of Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA). A high PSA can sometimes indicate problems (including prostate cancer) with the prostate gland.
Please note that a PSA test cannot be relied on to either diagnose prostate cancer - or exclude the presence of prostate cancer. If it is high then you will need further investigations with a Urologist. If you have symptoms and it is low you will still need to see a doctor to consider further investigations.
IMPOP Erectile Dysfunction Profile
This profile checks for range of male hormones and other health indicators which can contribute to erectile dysfunction.
