Chickenpox vaccination

Chickenpox is a common childhood infection. Usually, it’s mild and complications are rare. Almost all children develop immunity to chickenpox after infection, so most only catch it once.

Meningitis B vaccination

Meningitis B is a serious medical condition where the meninges (the wrappings that surround the spinal cord and brain) become inflamed. It is caused by a specific type of meningococcal bacteria and leads to a number of unpleasant symptoms, including fever, vomiting, a stiff neck, a rash across the body, confusion and seizures. If left untreated, meningitis B can be fatal.

Meningitis ACWY vaccination

Meningococcal disease is a life-threatening infection. This is a term used to describe two major illnesses – meningitis (inflammation of the membranes that surround the brain) and septicaemia (blood poisoning).

HPV vaccination

HPV or "Human Papilloma Virus" refers to a group of viruses which can affect cells in your throat, anus, mouth and cervix. Certain strains of HPV can lead to genital warts, as well as cancer in women, and more rarely; anal and throat cancer. As part of our private service we vaccinate both girls and boys unlike the NHS service.

MMR vaccination

Measles a highly infectious viral illness, which spreads rapidly from person to person. It is one of the leading causes of death among young children, the majority occurring in developing countries where immunisation is patchy (WHO 2013).

Diptheria, tetanus and polio vaccination

The Diptheria, tetanus and polio (DTP) vaccination combines vaccination against all three in a single injection.

Children's nasal flu vaccination

The children's nasal flu vaccination is offered as a yearly nasal spray to young children to protect them against flu. Flu can be a very unpleasant illness for children with potentially serious complications, including bronchitis and pneumonia.

Pneumonia vaccination

Pneumonia is a serious and potentially life-threatening condition caused by pneumococcal infection. It is the inflammation of the tissue in one or both lungs, caused by infection from bacteria, viruses or fungi.
